July 2025 – The sun was shining, the course was pristine, and the community came together in a big way at the 1st Annual Big League Roofers Charity Golf Scramble, held at Polo Fields Country Club in Louisville, Kentucky. The event was a huge success, raising $4,000 to support cancer research at the University of Louisville Brown Cancer Center—and marking the beginning of what we hope becomes a long-standing annual tradition.
A Day of Golf, Giving, and Good Times
From the moment players checked in and picked up their scorecards to the final raffle drawing and catered lunch, the energy was electric. Golfers of all skill levels came out to enjoy the competition, connect with others, and most importantly, rally behind a cause that touches so many lives.
With a shotgun start at 9:00 AM, teams took to the beautifully maintained course at Polo Fields Country Club, for some friendly competition. The weather was sunny and breezy all day and made for some great golf out on the course. After the round, participants gathered for a delicious catered lunch, served by the amazing kitchen at Polo Fields, and a series of raffle prize giveaways—all to benefit an organization that continues to lead the way in cancer research and care.
Supporting a Cause That Matters
This year’s scramble marked Big League Roofers’ first-ever fundraising event for the Brown Cancer Center, and we couldn’t be more proud of the turnout and support. The $4,000 raised will help fund cutting-edge research, patient care, and innovative treatment programs that make a difference for families across Kentucky and beyond.
We’re honored to stand behind this cause and give back to the community that supports us year-round. And we’re already looking forward to doing it even bigger next year!
