Washington Avenue – Lexington, Kentucky Roof Project

Big League Roofers was proud to complete the Washington Avenue – Lexington, Kentucky roof project, delivering a full shingle roof replacement that restored dependable protection and gave both the home and detached pool cabana a sharp, refreshed look.

Project Overview

The existing roof had experienced storm and wind damage, along with missing shingles, visible algae discoloration, and heavy tree debris buildup. These issues had affected both the roof’s performance and the overall appearance of the property. After a full evaluation, our team determined that a complete roof replacement was the best long-term solution.

During the project, we also replaced roof decking in key areas to ensure the new roofing system had a solid, reliable foundation. This extra step helped strengthen the overall installation and support long-term performance.

Roofing System Installed

For this project, we installed a complete GAF roofing system designed to work together from the roof deck up, including:

  • GAF Timberline HDZ® Shingles in Charcoal

  • GAF Ice & Water Shield along vulnerable, leak-prone areas

  • GAF Synthetic Roofing Underlayment

  • New black flashing throughout

  • New GAF ridge vent system

The new black flashing adds a crisp, high-contrast accent that really ties the project together and gives the roof a clean, polished finish. Combined with the Charcoal shingles, it creates a bold, updated look that enhances the entire property.

Project Timeline

The entire roof replacement was completed in 1 full day, with our crew working efficiently while keeping the jobsite clean, safe, and organized from start to finish.

Final Results

The final results are amazing. The new Charcoal roof color complements the aesthetic of the home beautifully and also ties in seamlessly with the detached pool cabana, creating a cohesive look across the property. With upgraded decking in key areas, new ventilation, and a complete GAF roofing system, this home now has both the protection and curb appeal to stand strong for years to come.
